After the week of midterms at my university came my birthday. Though I stayed in Paris for the day of my actual birthday, I decided to take a short weekend trip after to Aix-en-Provence, France. Just about at three hour train ride south of Paris is where I'd find one of my new favorite cities. Though I'm not a travel blogger, I will mention that this city is a perfect getaway for anyone. Farmers markets in the mornings to lively streets at night. I was very pleased with this short trip! Of course I set out to find some great home décor stores to share, and here are three of my finds.
Ambiances & Matieres
This store specializes in throw and décor pillows and blankets as well as miscellaneous items to decorate your home with. All of their textiles are made strictly in France and sold locally. With high quality fabrics and materials your home will feel completely new after adding some of these pieces to it.
Les Creations de Berise
Not only was this store filled with the most unique patterned lamp shades, I was in awe in how sweet the employees are. They are a small business who is passionate about their work! These lamp shades come in a variety of shapes, color schemes, sizes, patterns, and aesthetics for a really great price. Unfortunately, they do not have a website, but if you would like to reach out to their store feel free to email them per request!
L'atelier de Decorateur
When entering this store I was pleasantly overwhelmed by the amount of one of a kind and high end cloths. When having a conversation with the lovely employee, she gave us a tour of the store, and also took us to the back to show where they hand make many of their textiles right there. Hand stitched with love and care, each one is unique! These make for great curtains, duvet covers, throw covers and much more.
